Shelly, of all the Smart switches, is certainly the smallest one and given its size it can be safely installed inside the rectangular 503 boxes.
Shelly 1 V3 is a Wireless Relay switch for home automation, also managed with voice commands such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
Shelly 1 V3 is mainly used to turn off and on lights from 110-230V electrical voltage but also 12 V.
The feature that makes this product unique is its size, very small as a wifi device, easy to install in the classic 503 boxes present in our qualifications without making changes to existing electrical systems.
Thanks to its clean contact, it can be easily integrated into any system without losing the existing switches, whether they are pushbuttons, diverters, switches or inverters etc.
Works with 802.11 b / g / n 2.4 ghz wifi standard, with a very low consumption of 1 watt, the firmware is updated via OTA (as for smartphones), the app is available for both Android and Apple, in Italian and in English.
The presence of a clean contact inside the Shelly 1 switch makes it very easy to integrate the switch into your electrical system, with the possibility of choosing different connection schemes between:
connection with switches,
connection with diverters,
connection with buttons.
The latter introduces the possibility of controlling one or more light points from several points, such as the light for the access stairs between two or more floors in an apartment building, or in your home.
Configuration
In order to configure the Shelly 1, you must use the "Shelly Cloud" App for Android devices or for iOS devices.
Before carrying out the following procedures carry out three simple tests of your environment, to be sure of the correct connection procedure of your device.
Check that the 2.4GHz band is active on your Wi-Fi router, the 5GHz band is not supported;
Make sure that the smartphone from which you will carry out the pairing procedure of your device is connected to the Wi-Fi router and that the connection is at least "Good"; Make sure that the area of the room where you will install Shelly 1 is covered by the Wi-Fi signal and that the connection is at least "Good".
The Shelly 1 switch can be powered with an alternating voltage between 110Vac and 240 Vac, or with a direct voltage between 24Vdc and 60Vdc, or with a single direct voltage of 12Vdc.
Through a jumper supplied with the switch you can choose the type of power supply with which to power the switch. The jumper is positioned by default, for alternating voltage (110Vac and 240Vac).
